Solder block from woodstoves old ceramic honeycomb combustor
Do you think that a catalytic combustor from wood stove would be
good as a solder block to conduct heat. It is used and is of ceramic
honeycombed. Like to repurposed things that I have!. Thank you in
advance
That will work. It will be nice for bigger area soldering. The honey
comb will not be as much of a heat sink. You will probably lose some
solder in it. Those I believe have platinum in them like a catalytic
converter in a car but that will be OK too
