SNAG Repousse Necklace & Earrings

Dear Dave, Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you and the
Orchid community.

I believe the woman you met was at SNAG Randi Newbill , wearing the
wonderful sterling repousse/chased necklace and earrings (bamboo,
birds, etc.)

I believe that the suite was made by our teacher/master jeweler,
Bonyou Paphatsarang. Bon, as we call him, is a young man (about 34
yrs.) that has been teaching since he was 19 or 20 and actually
experienced in jewelry since age 7. We are very lucky to have him
teach us from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30p.m., break time, then back again
from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30p.m. four days per week! Our abode is
humble, but our teacher is dynamite!

The jewelry center is an adult education program run through Baldwin
Park (Calif.) Unified School District. It’s located about one mile
east of Fwy. 605 off of Ramona Blvd. (Ramona exit) on Monterey St.
(turn right), with the Fine Arts Bldg. 1 blk so. of Ramona on
Monterey on the left. The phone number is 626-939-4248. Ask for
Bon.

We are all his cheerleaders! We would love to get him out there in
our jewelry world (he does everything, believe me), but needs a
little nudge. He is a very humble man and he has a very young
family, so his time is somewhat limited as you can see.

I certainly can’t speak for him, but know he would probably do
workshops on the weekends if it would work out logistically. One
way or the other we want to share him with all of you.

Sincerely,
Kay Taylor
