Does anyone know of a place that fixes/refurbishes Smith Torch
handpieces?
If so, is it worth it or is it cheaper to buy new ones?

You may get lucky and take it to the welding store that you get your
tanks. Most of them send to a local rebuilder. They can give you a
price quote up front. I had my smith rebuilt a couple of times in
the 30 years I own it.
