Small shop casting iron or steel for jewelry

Wondering if or how casting iron is done in a small shop. I have
never seen commercial casting grain for iron where many other metals
are available. The other day, I stumbled across a company in the UK
who has “steel for jewellers”, but only in quantities that are way
too big for my shop.

Any about iron or steel casting?

Steel casting in the backyard, imo, is not suitable for jewellery.

Mostly what people cast in their backyard is grey iron (cast iron).

The other option is to make wootz, but you wont be casting shapes
with it.

It’s cheaper to machine the steel than it is to cast it.
