After shooting about 460 slides of my wonderful trip to Thailand and
Nepal, I was trying to figure out how to send copies of my slides to
my friends. Trying to scan all these slides myself was a task I was
not prepared to take on. Therefore, I began the hunt for a good

Has anyone used the Nikon 5400 slide adapter? It is one of the
reasons I am thinking of buying one of these cameras, but I haven’t
seen one, or spoken with anyone who has used one. My idea was to use
this system to “photograph” my old slides in whatever resolution I
like. I concluded that the system would be worth it if I converted
about 200 slides, though actually, I doubt I really need to convert
more than a few dozen. So perhaps it’s just a rational for getting
the camera, which seems pretty fabulous. I’d appreciate reviews of
the camera itself, too.

I have the slide adapter, and use it on my Nikon 990. For my needs
it’s worked great. I’ve had professional slides taken, and don’t
have a slide scanner. I wanted them on my computer for emailing,
postcards, etc. I feel the quality was good, you have to play with
how much light you let through. I shot them outside on a slightly
cloudy day. Through a window in your house works too. Lisa
