Simple Green is smelly too!

One of the Ganoksin users recommended this product for the
ultrasonic. I bought a jug and found that it doesn’t work nearly as
well as some of the standard ultrasonic-specific cleaners available
from RioGrande and Stuller, and it STINKS. I am glad you gave me an
excuse to dump it and cut my losses!

Don’t know what others have said but Oakite is the best on the
planet. It blows polishing compounds off of the items in a heartbeat.

One inch of it in the bottom of the ultrasonic and the rest water.

Thanks Russ.

Will try Oakite. Looks totally old school which is cool. Been using
ammonia based cleaners for ever and never tried. Got a gallon on
order.

PS There is nothing simple about simple green. Use to clean my bike
parts chains, cogs ect in 50% simple green in hot ultra sonic. It did
a great job removing old lube and grit but was very corrosive in
minutes even to stainless steel. I had to learn this lesson the hard
way

Here is a link to where you can get this in smaller quantities.
Chemtall is the maker of it and distributes in 4 gallon sizes.
Esslinger sells it under their own label.

Send me your findings! On silver i like to just swish in the
solution so as to not create a dulling effect
