For various reasons, it turns out that, with two days notice, my cancelled trip to Italy is back on again. I’ll fly into Rome on the 13th and fly out on the 24th. Aside from visiting some small towns where family came from near Naples, I don’t have any firm plans. I thought about visiting Abruzzo and noticed that the famous goldsmithing town of Scanno is there. I wonder if anyone has visited there or some other places where a fellow craftsman might be welcome to tour some workshops. If you have some ideas on this, or if you are an Orchid member in Italy I might visit, please respond today or tomorrow while my plans are still fluid. It will be great to be in Italy again! FYI, I can speak enough Italian to get by and I will have a car.
