Showing Competition entry pictures before judging?

I’m wondering if there’s a convention or etiquette that governs this.
I just entered a piece in the Saul Bell Design Award competition, the
deadline was Friday. I’m itching to show off pictures of it on my
blog and other places on the web, but I don’t know if it is proper to
do so before the judging has taken place. The results for finalists
won’t be announced until November. Would it be bad luck, bad
etiquette, or whatever, to do that? Any input would be appreciated.

I have noticed that sometimes people post pictures like that. Or a
picture for an article that hasn’t come out yet. I err on the side of
caution, and do not post pictures of items entered in contests, or
submitted for publication.

Well, I only got two response to this question, but they were
unanimous, so I will take their advice and wait.

Thanks for the advice.
