Short courses in mexico

hi helpful people a friend is interested in learning basic
silversmithing and jewellery making skills, and she is also keen to
travel in mexico for three months. it’s been a couple of years since
my last visit, but i remember reading about short workshops/courses
being available in the taxco area. if you have any about
silversmithing/jewellery short courses in mexico could you please let
me have it so that i can pass it on?

many thanks for your help - heh! the sun is even shinning in the uk,
and there we were thinking we were gonna slide straight from spring
to autumn:-)

I’ve recently heard of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.
San Miguel has evidently been a popular destination for expatriates
for many years, mostly Americans, some Canadians, some Europeans.
This may or may not be a good thing, and generally I might consider
it a bad thing, since I travel abroad to get away from other
Americans, but it sounds like San Miguel has remained Mexican despite
the foreign infiltration. Education in language, art, and cooking
seems to be the big draw there. Location sounds stunning!
