All, Years ago at a Sant� Fe Symposium and EPA official was asked to
give a talk on shop safety.He told us about a building in LA where
many of the shops had been doing bombing.The process of using Cyanide
and a strong solution of Hydrogen peroxide(Kids don’t try this at
home) to create a chemically controlled explosion which blows the
surface off of your gold castings .Creating a high luster.These people
were doing it in the sinks and pouring the spent solutions down the
drain.The governments response:seal off the drain pipes with concrete
and close the entire high rise building down until a clean up could be
accomplished.Who knows how many other buildings in and out of the
jewelry district do bombing and dumping?One is too much.J Morley
