PS On a serious note, not so long ago Orchid had 30-50 good posts
almost daily.

I filed a $2500 tax deduction for my shop cat.
Ha! My husband Tim did just that for his two big dogs many years
ago. He was picking up and delivering lots of expensive jewelry from
a store that was close to his home every day after work. He would
take it home for the night and bring it into the shop the next
morning. His tax preparer told him to deduct a portion of the dogs’
food and medical bills as a security deduction.
