If anybody knows of any openings, it would be greatly appreciated. I
am a jeweler with 9 years bench experience. Thanks!

Jillian, I highly recommend you contact Vic Davis and Associates. He
can help you find the kind of job you are looking for. 417-890-9284
Vic is an orchid list member so you may be hearing from him anyway,
if not give him a call. He will work to find you a job and not just
to make the bounty on you. He wants you to be right for the job and
the job right for you. He has done it for me… (usual
disclaimer goes here) very satisfied,

things are really slow rignt now, but if anyone in town is looking,
Vinnie at Seattle Findings would probably have heard of it. Worth
asking him.

My boss, Brian Sholdt, (www.sholdtdesign.com) in the same building,
4th and Pike, was escorting one of our clients around the shop
yesterday. I overheard him mention, when it was noted how few people
were working in the shop (at the time, it was just me), that he was
interviewing someone soon. I suspect that was fluff, rather than
real, but I don’t really know his plans. It might be worth putting in
a resume or a phone call just to see. Like I said, we’re really slow
at the moment, but that can change quickly enough.

I also happened to see, on Craigslist a couple weeks ago, that Jamie
Joseph is looking for someone. She’s a creative
jeweler/manufacturer/designer with a shop down in South Seattle, not
far from Boeing field. I think she was looking in part for wax
working skills, but knowing what she makes, I’d assume she can use
general jewelry skills and/or stone setting skills too.

Hope that helps.
