Northwest Jewelry / Metals Symposium

Northwest Jewelry/Metals Symposium is a weeklong series of events
that brings together professional artists, art collectors, and
students of jewelry and the metal arts. The symposium creates a
a.. Explore the personal, historical, or social significance of
jewelry, sculpture, and metal arts.
b.. Exhibit and view the work of professional artists.
c.. Teach specific metalsmithing techniques.
It offers the people who attend an opportunity to exchange knowledge
and ideas through lectures, exhibits, receptions, and a workshop.
Events are free unless otherwise noted. Events of the symposium and

Docent led tour of Louis Comfort Tiffany: Artist for the Ages.
Seattle Art Museum,
3-4 p.m. Ticket is included in the Day of Lectures registration fee.

Champagne Reception for Symposium lecturers and attendees. Work by
Symposium speakers will be on display
Day of Lectures at the Seattle Art Museum, First Avenue and
University Street, Seattle. Join other artists, collectors, gallery
owners, and students for a series of lectures. Speakers include Dee
Fontans (wearable art/multimedia artist), Lee Rumsey Haga
(aesthetics and contemporary designs in metal), Ela Lamblin
(co-founders of Lelavision, sculpture, music and movement), Richard
Mawdsley (metalsmith/jeweler), and Michael Monroe (Executive
Director/Chief Curator Bellevue Arts Museum). More and
