[Searching4] Professional photographer

Hello All,

In a bit of a rush, so no time today to make a formal introduction
for myself. Sorry.

I am searching for a professional photographer that either
specializes in jewelry (and/or beadwork) or is very proficient at it
and who is located within 100 miles of Santa Rosa, CA.

An online resume or photo gallery would be helpful.

Or…if anyone can recommend a good photographer for this genre, I’d
really appreciate the referral.

Feeling the desperation of time constraints.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hap Sakwa http://www.hapsakwa.com or George Post
http://www.gpostphoto.com are both in your given area and both are
good at taking jewelry and other craft work photos.

Good morning,

I have not used Hap Sakwa yet, but he has photographed my work for
Guild.com and I really like how he captured my work. Not exactly sure
how close he is to Santa Rosa but he’s in NorCal. Google Hap Sakwa
and that should take you where you need to be. Good luck!

Britt

Hi Beki;

I live in Santa Rosa, have my studio in Santa Rosa & I highly
recommend Hap Sakwa in Sebastopol - many of the photos I have on my
website were done by him - and many of the photos of my work that
have appeared in publications were done by him. He is pleasant,
expeditious, willing to work with you to get the results you are
looking for - and will do his best to provide the photos you need in
a reasonable time frame. ( He is always busy so you should allow a
decent lead time - like a week - he will tell you if he can get it
done sooner) When you go to his studio, you will see his display of
photos he has taken of some of the best metal artistry of our
generation. Just a happy client - no vested interest in Hap’s
business…

Hello Beki,

I use Hap Sakwa in Sebastopol. He has done nearly all the photos on
my website, if you want to check him out–

His number is 707-823-5787.

We are not affliated. I am just a happy client.

Not exactly sure how close he [Hap Sakwa] is to Santa Rosa but he's in NorCal.

He’s very close. In Sebastopol I believe.

Thank you all so very much for your quick & helpful responses.

Hap’s photography is beautiful as are some of your wonderful pieces
I’ve had the pleasure to view on your sites. (lusting after a few of
them!)

I’ve bookmarked all of your suggestions both onlist and off and I’ll
be following up with each recommendation.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season and the most prosperous of
New Years!

Another excellent photographer is Robert Diamante. He is the primary
photographer for all of Tim McCreight’s books.

Check his work out at www.robertdiamante.com

Robert does not only excellent work, but is also a staunch supporter
of Orchid.

I am a happy client who became a good friend from our relationship
of working together.

Another is Dean Powell at http://www.deanpowellphotography.com Also
excellent.

Another excellent photographer is Robert Diamante. He is the
primary photographer for all of Tim McCreight's books.

Unfortunately, unless something recently changed Robert moved to
Bali to run the advertising/marketing department of John Hardy…I
miss him and my photos and will probably try Hap this winter.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, Beth Mcelhiney (arrived
in California this weekend and spending the next two months here
escaping the weather back east on the island)

Tino Hammid, hammid.com

Harold and Erica Van Pelt, vanpeltphoto@aol.com-- one of the best
studios in the business.

Both have done lots of work for GIA and other notables, both are in
LA area.

Fred Ward, wfredwardgems.com Truly great photographer, not sure how
active he is currently.
