Scratches in glass beads

#1

Hi there!

I’m working with wire wrapping czech glass beads and have recently
discovered that there are a number of scratches in many of the
beads. I will be sure to check future deliveries more closely in case
they arrived like that from the supplier and it just escaped my
notice, although the scratches may of course have been sustained in
storage here. Be that as it may, I’m loath to throw away so many
beads. The scratches are very superficial, and I am wondering if
there is some kind of buffer implement one can use to get rid of
superficial scratches.

Thanks for your help.

If you have a lot of them you can tumble polish them with cerium or
tin oxide polishing powder the same way one would impart a final
polish to pebbles.
