Safety and ergonomics for jewelry artisans

Our hands are our most valuable and vulnerable tool. Last year when
I went to teach at Wildacres, I was in splints 24 hours a day after
preparing 9 projects of weaving for the class.

We did the exercises (as well as the belly dancing exercises thank
you Diana Kirkpatrick). We use ice in the classroom sink every day
for our hands and wrists and by the end of the week with 50
instructional hours, my splints were gone and everyone else seemed to
be in good shape.

I have a new article on safety and ergonomics that may help.
