Hey Judy Bjorkman! , Is that a Rio Grande screw press you’re being
given? . Unless it’s something a lot bigger it won’t be good for
anything but blanking out small to medium sized parts. Even the larger
Rio screwpress only generates 5-8 tons , which might cut a belt buckle
(not too thick), if you asked nicely . If you’re interested in doing
forming work, a hydraulic press is what you need…or a much bigger
screwpress.
Now , with all that moola you (may) save on the free press, you can
afford to call me with questions about making RT dies. Or better
yet…
