I just bought a Black and Decker RTX rotary tool similar to Dremel.
The B& D tool is much sturdier then the Dremel. It has a three
position switch that sets the speeds at 12,000, 24,000 and 30,000
RPM. The chuck is tightened by the fingers. It only handles 3/32
diameter shafts. It came with a plastic carrying case which has a
section to store the several pieces that came with the kit. An
abrasive rubber wheel turning at 30,000 really gets after sprues,
ETC. I bought it at Home Depot. Price was $39.96. If you are shopping
for a portable hand grinder you might want to check it out. Lee
