Allyson - I made the tools I’ve used to roll an edge. It’s very
simple. Use a cold steel rod whose diameter is twice the width
desired for the rolled edge. Saw a notch half way thru the rod about
1/16" from the end. Make the kerf the tiniest bit wider than the
thickness of the metal you wish to roll. Round the end of the rod on
the side with the kerf. To use the tool, put the notch on the raw
edge, rotating the rod toward the rolled edge. This will get you
about three quarters of the way. Complete the roll with a mallet
over a stake. It’s really easier than this description.
