Roland mills JWX-10 Vs Model Maker

Hello everyone,

with great intrest I am reading the pro and con about Roland mills
JWX-10 and Model Maker. We are seriously considering buying one of
them. They are about the same as far as price. So which is the
better machine, which is the better software for someone with very
limited knowledge? Any input?

Thanks,

Here are the short answers to your questions about the Roland JWX-10
Vs. Model Maker.

  1. Spindle RPM. The Roland goes up to 20,000
  2. Feedrate - Roland goes up to 100 IPM
  3. Protowizard fixturing allows for 3-sided machining
  4. Enclosed and quiet operation
  5. Accurate setup procedure

They can run with most software you are considering. Note that we
sell and train on the Roland Machines and we should let you know that
you should also consider the Roland MDX-40. It is a $1,000 more
expensive but it has some major capabilities that blow away the
competition including the ability to read an existing piece of
jewelry into the software.

Hope this helps. If you need more assistance give us a call and we
can have an in-depth conversation.
