I’ve done a lot ring stretching when I was apprenticing in
production oriented shop. This was twenty years ago. We found
that it was possible to stretch yellow gold 14k ring up two to
two and half sizes. You need to anneal every half size. The
DANGER in doing this is, at some point the metal will become to
fatigued and will develop what looks like an orange pearl
texture. At this point you have a major repair on your hands and
maybe a complete loss. The time solder in a piece of gold is
actually less than to pump up the ring that far. It’s also good
inform the customer of his choices because he will probable go
