I have a problem, and would be happy with good advise. We do hammer
tone texture on 18 K yellow gold plate. The plate has a cavity which
is filled with 18 K white gold motiff. My probem is I need the
texture to remain dull and the white thin line motiff to have a good
polish. WHAT DO I DO to retain the dullness of the textured plate.
Have tried to lacquer coat the plate prior to polishing, yes almost
forgot there is pave set diamonds near the edges of the plate, so
before heating the plate I give a coat of Borax, the result the plate
starts to shine. Can some one suggest a method or some precautions to
take.
