Restore crytalization to 24K?

I have opportunity to repolish many rings with 24K crystalized
inlay as I carry many German designers, does anyone know how to
restore this finish, or even just get it to the rich colour
desired?

Thank you for your help

Hello Stephen, I use a commercial electro-stripping solution. It
leaves the surface you want and does nothing to the platinum.

I have restored this crystalization by electro stripping. The
solution needs to be strong, hot (180 F + ?) and the work needs
to be dipped at a low voltage, say around 3 volts. I am using
the word dipped, because the work should not be left in too
stable a solution. Just dip the work quickly several times. If
you don’t see the crystals coming thru, vary the voltage. Watch
your work. The platinum is impervious to Gesswien’s stripping
salts, but gold can be etched very quickly. WATCH WHAT IS
HAPPENING TO YOUR GOLD. Have fun. I have gotten a lot of
satisfaction from this method.

Tom: Care to share the name and process? Would much appreciate
it.
