I have a thin rectangle of 18K with a rectangular hole in the center
that slides on a stainless mesh bracelet. It’s about 1 1/2 inches
long and 5/8 wide and about 3/8 thick. The edge has worn thin and
fractured. In the process of soldering…guess what happened…the
hole from Hades. Suggestions on fixing. I would Love to anneal this
somehow as it is terribly hard from wear. I am considering cutting
along the bad edge opening and removing from the mesh…trying to
repair the hole and edge then soldering it back on. This is
reminiscent of working on a hollow bangle bracelet.
