Removing drill bit from aluminum

A piece of a drill bit broke off in some aluminum I am working on.
Is there an acid that will eat away the steel but not affect the
aluminum?

Or an other ways to remove it without damaging the surrounding
metal?

TIA,
Laura.

A very common problem.

Put it in a hot alum pickle (Sodium bisulfate or sparex) . This will
corrode out the steel and leave the aluminum. Watch the bubbles if
the stop the solution is too weak… It will work cold but hot is
better. You can spot do it by building a little dam and only putting
the solution in the hole too, but you probably will have to change
the solution a few times.
