I need to take out the glass in my refractometer to have it
polished. Has anyone taken his or her glass out? Any tips on getting
it out and re installing it?

I think, though don’t quote me on this, that someone once suggested
leaving it in place and using a little cotton with polishing
compound (like tin or cerium oxide and water) and polish it in
place…depends on how badly scratched it is… I suppose you could
always go over it lightly with very fine wet sandpaper first if
necessary.
