Recovery of lost gold

Hello Larry, At one time I would try and save what ever I could.
Like what falls off in the ultra sound and was told it was a
waste of time .You just don’t get that much back. Well Iv got
news for you it has added up. Make room under your sink. You will
need a five gal. bucket / w lid and pvc pipe, plywood, it should
look like this.

Now on the top (ether side) I have a Stone trap that has saved
me a lot of headaches. Run pipe in say 5" on both sides, in the
middle cut a baffle to fit snug. This is a shop sink so the only
thing put down the drain is shop water. Last year I pulled out
just over three troy oz of gold. Happy Savings True

All: In responce to the person(s) concerned about gold recovery.
I have always saved the deposits from the bottom of my ultra.
However, I simply use paper towels to wipe it up, toss them into
my scrap drawer and allow it to dry out. It then goes to the
refiner and is incinerated, leaving whatever filings that were
captured. This is especially improtant when you finish several
castings and then clean them. You’d be suprised how much metal
is left within the many recesses.

Best;
Steve
