Recommend a Rolling Mill

Debby and all, In general you will not be able to buy a manual
Rolling Mill which opens up to 10mm. However, we can supply a Rolling
Mill which can be used for rolling between 5 and 10mm. This is a
standard Rolling Mill but with a special set of gears. If you then
wanted to roll down to between 0mm and 5mm you would need to remove
the special gears and replace with standard. The change over time
would be about 2-3 minutes. It is not necessarily the ideal solution
because it will become inconvenient removing gears. The other option
is to have two machines but this is not ideal either. No 1: Taking up
too much space. No 2: Too expensive. Regards, Sara Durston

Sarah, Could you outfit one of your double roll mills with two sets
of flat rolls and have the upper one have the 10-5 mm gears and the
lower one have the 5 mm-0 gears ?

Jim

Dear Jim, Re your question:

Could you outfit one of your double roll mills with two sets of
flat rolls and have the upper one have the 10-5 mm gears and the
lower one have the 5 mm-0 gears?

Yes, you could if you wanted have the rolls opening up to 12-13mm.
This will mean that they will go down to approximately 6 - 6.5mm and
on the second set of rolls will go from 7 - 0mm (as standard). Sara
