Pricing a piece - consumables

Hi Everyone,

When you are considering your pricing for a one of a kind or a
production line how do you figure out the cost of your consumables.

Do you have a flat price per piece?
Do you try to measure the consumables used and try to price it exact?
Is it built into your hourly rate?

Looking forward to hearing what everyone does!

When you are considering your pricing for a one of a kind or a

It is easiest to include studio supplies and consumables into the
annual studio overhead expense and divide that amount by number
annual number of hours worked. Each labor hour also accrues an hour
of overhead expense. Then, all work bears an equal distribution of
the annual expense of having a place to work.

Calculating the non task or job specific labor hours spent to
maintain the studio and run the business, and accounting for that in
the annual studio overhead, is another important item for
consideration.
