Praise for Jim Binnion

One of the great perks of Orchid, is getting to know other talented
goldsmiths and metalsmiths. In honor of my 25th wedding
anniversary, I commissioned Jim Binnion for a pair of new wedding
rings in 22K and iron mokume, along with the special silver boxes to
hold them.

They arrived on Monday, and I have been taking them in and out of
their amazing boxes, which are small jewels on their own. Each box
fits delicately in the palm of my hand. When opened, it reveals a
ring sitting on its own oak ring stand.

The attention to detail on each of these fabricated rings is
exquisite. We will be proud and honored to wear these.

Thank you Jim for your friendship and your masterful execution to a
symbol of my marriage.

Off to the land of Frodo!

Well Karen and Jim - thank you for the absolutely gorgeous rings and
boxes, and for the additional entertainment as my 14 year old
daughter and her friend fought over the images, reciting from Lord
of the Rings “Mine, all mine, my precious!” The rings were quite a
hit, to say the least!

I’m very impressed - absolutely lovely work!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Karen Christians for sharing those stunning works of art by
Jim Binnion. Wow! Boxes and rings are both way cool! I know
you’ll enjoy them. Judy in Kansas, where the sun has chased away the
