Exactly what is Pot Metal, base metal or white metal? How are findings
usually attached. Soldering? What kind of solder? Or is it fusing?
Usually for jewelry the alloy is white metal- one of several tin alloys
which may or may not have lead content. Findings can be cast in, soldered
with low melting tin alloy solders. Fusing does not work unless there is a
metal pad of brass or other higher melting metal.
