Possible Virus alert

Folks, I have received two direct responses to post I have put up on
Orchid in the last couple days. The responses were from two different
people but both had a file attached and the words “Take a look to the
attachment” The phrasing is a little strange and the fact that it
was word for word the same leads me to believe that the files were
not from the people whose name is on the “From” line.

Both attachments ended with a .PIF I am Lucky?? I think because I
got a message reporting a corrupt file when I tried to open it.

My suggestion is to not open any attachments attached to a response
from an Orchid post until we get to the bottom of this.

UPDATE* I ran McAfee Virus scan and it detected nothing. I
then downloaded the latest DAT file from them and set the scanner to
check ALL files and then go to the ADVANCED settings and select
ENABLE HERURISTICS SCANNING and then select the ENABLE MACRO AND
PROGRAM FILE HERURISTICS SCANNING. I ran this just on my attachment
folder and it found the two files that I had suspected and described
them as Trojan Horse Virus. I put them into quarantine and am going
to run the same check on the remainder of the system.

Someone is not playing fair. It is bad enough that the spam has
increased in the last few days from Orchid post but this is too much.
