Polishing thin tarnished silver chain

John;

My 2 ways to refinish the chain.

My prefered method -Quick

splash in silverdip and then into the rotary tumbler using steel
shot for an hour or two [- with the catch threaded onto a round wire
of whatever metal is available, then the ends twisted together to
make a round hanger approx 3-4"round]. The chain winds itself arround
the wire during tumbling and reduces the likelyhood of knotting up.

Or -after silverdip polish it on a rouge mop, holding it firmly onto
a length of scrap wood [approx 6" long, 1"+ wide] with a small v cut
into each end to help you hold the chain, then sliding chain to
polish each length as reqd.
