Yes, this is one of the most bothersome problems. First, you need
to use a HARD felt wheel, not stitched when you initialize the
white diamond. This will remove any little burs left by sawing and
give a tiny bit of smoothing of your internal edges. Then I go to
black rouge or bendex polish on a med soft muslin. The most
important part of this is CONSTANT MOVING DURING POLISHING. You can
not hold your piece in one position for even 1 second. I have
learned this from over 10 years of piercing. Good luck with your
