read a few of the posts on this topic and i think that there is no
use trying to dam the great wave of wildebeests rushing to the pmc
scene, i mean if your going to trash on pmcers then you got to do
everybody and their grandmother that has likewise tried to make some
cashflow from their “artistic inclinations” in the field of stringing
practically anything up, designers in the fashion market that whim
and the money talks, low end jewelry companies, and high end alike
that decimate fields of coral, boars tusks, gem fields, sharks,
rays, pythons, rainforests, etcetcetc, ad infinitum, all to make
a buck mind you, creation of the art is a distant shriveled
appendage, and is totally dictated by the financial report, and
only exists really in the mind of the person who is doing some of
the handwork, that he or she is proud of, while they remain trapped
in the cog of the money wheel, making squat compared to the eventual
1000- 2000% markup in many cases that is paid, the stores alone
jacking wholesale, double, and triple, i would like to try pmc
myself anyway because i do love to work clay type substances with
hands and tools, but until then i will remain, carving anything in
sight that i don’t have to kill, and can make beauty from, because
that is my thing, and yes i have studied and practiced for 30
years, all kinds of art, and apprenticed in sweatshops, and
devoted my life to this stuff, and i am a hardass, even though a
