Plique-a-jour enamelling!

#1

I’ve read two posts praising a fellow named Valeri Timofeev who is
apparently a plique-a-jour master. Please please please if anyone
has info on where he might teach in the future, contact me!!! I
live in Vancouver, BC, so somewhere like Seattle would be ideal,
but if I can collect money together, I’d go further. Thanks
all!!!

Tobey, I’m way behind on reading Orchid, and maybe you have since
received Valeri Timofeev’s address by now, but in case you have
not, you can reach Valeri at 11 E. Village Green, Budd Lake, NJ
07828. I first met Valeri when he gave a workshop at Glassell
School of Art in Houston. Saw him again at The Enamelist
Conference at Arrowmont last fall. Valeri is truly the best
plique-a-jour enamelist, however, there is also another gentleman
who does plique-a-jour on the west coast, his name is Bruce St John
Maher. Bruce spends most of his time these days making wonderful
glass beads. Bruce will most probably be at the Embellishment show
in Sacremento, Calif. soon. You may be able to find him on the
Internet. Good Luck to you. Dottie Wood (dwood@hal.pc.org)
