Planning stone setting

Hi again…

When you are setting diamonds or any gemstone…My new approach is to
think ahead and picture what you are going to do in three or four
steps ahead of what you are doing now.

Thinking is the rule…just don’t do it and wonder what comes next!
If you are only setting while in the “now”, you will run into many
problems, why?

Each and every step in this discipline, you must be aware of any
eventuality. If not, steps will be missed and errors will occur.
Plan every move, ponder what might happen next…its like a ripple
effect. One error, or forgetting a move will multiply hundred-fold,
trust me this will occur.

This will be lectured/explained to my 3rd year jewellery students
tomorrow morning upon my opening of my day long class…Gerry!
