Pets on a lighter note

hi all ray Blundell southport uk. just on a lighter topic. how many
of you have a shop pet. ours is a delightful joy called mishka a
Samoyed, we had aprevious one called Tasha who was adored by our
local community. we definaatly find they are an asset as opposed to
a downer. they create an air of calm and warmth which cheers the day
and eases most conflicts that occur fromtime to time. theyve even
sealed a deal or two over the years. we run a family friendly hands
on buissness, i’m the bench jockey with more years at the bench than
dinners haha! steak when its a good deal, an beans on toast when its
a bummer! but I just love the game, probably like most in it. you
gotta love it to do it well! so how many of you have one of our
furry friends on the staff roll.

hi all ray Blundell southport uk. just on a lighter topic. how

My shopcat keeps track of the towel.

But when he’s out walking on all the cat walks I’ve built for him, I
want him also to be safe.

So I built an anti-cat device on the battery that runs the winch
that makes my draw machine so easy to use.

Here is a picture of my lab assistant and constant companion.

She adopted me some ten years ago on a dark and stormy night. There
she was at my kitchen door, a tiny kitten, terrified, soaking wet,
skin and bones. I opened a can of tuna for her which she devoured. I
later learned that she had been tossed from a car to fend for
herself. (Dante should have reserved a special place for people who
show such cruelty to helpless creatures.)

She is now a beautiful, intelligent feline, poised and elegant. She
has her chair in my studio where she watches every move I make. Of
course I submit all finished items to her for her approval. Alma

I’m famous for having hedgehogs and not only I’m known as Spoon Lady,
I’m also known as the Hedgehog Lady or the Hedgehog Jeweler in NH,
MA, CT. For a decade, my hedgehogs live in my studio for it was the
only place that had room for their rather large “condos” Whatever I
have new students over or clients, they all want to meet my hedgehog.
My hedgehogs are a deal-breaker, they help a lot in my sales, and
even my jewelry and the occasional box all have hedgehog themes. I
save the quills that my hedgehogs shed, for it is hollow hair, and
I’ve made two sterling tear-drop boxes with quills embedded in the
lid (using polymer clay as base) Makes it challenging to open box
without pricking yourself.

I even travel with my hedgehogs, for they are easy for me to care
for, and just need some quality time at night, so once my students
hear that my hedgehog is in the classroom, they all want to meet it.
Right now, I just have Spike with an Attitude, as I call Spike now.
He sleeps right through the normal sounds in my studio. Even my dog
is used to the sounds/noise.

Any business that has a resident cat or dog is a great place to go
to. Pets do bring people in.

Emma assists in all office, studio, and elder care tasks. She is a
gem in her own right.

Hey Paf,

My shopcat keeps track of the towel.

I see that you keep your cat in the sweeps try, which begs the
question.

Will you take your cat to the refiner one day?

This could become a favorite topic. My shop pet is a combination.
1st, my shop adjoines my home, so I am stuck with my two pets, a shy
cat who observes everything from the deep recesses of a rack of
saddles and pads, few people know she is there. The other is my
buddy/guard dog. 99% buddy and hopefully a small smidgeon of
protection. He is a 10 year old sappy 150lb Rottie with a tail. He is
by my side at all times and he is social, has his favorites, and
people come to visit him, and he shares them with me after his
initial greeting. I am blessed because this breed of dog reflect
their owners. A friendly person has a friendly dog, a jerk…
well enough said about a bad combination.

It does not hurt me to announce to the world that I have a notorious
guard dog breed. Those who have been here know that he is a
marshmellow couch potato, but they go home with the knowledge that
my house is guarded, along with my gemstone collection and jewelry.

Blessings pat

Emma and her friends are beautiful

My shop pets are the 1500lb variety. No that is not a typo, they are
two Friesian Horses and are my Muses. Taatje and Aviana. Friesian
horses, if you are not familiar, are large black horses with very
long manes and tails and feathers just above their hooves. Zorro’s
horse in the movie was a Friesian. I would post a picture, but I am
not quite sure how it is permitted here

How can I share files and pictures with the list?

Or… send the files to the attention of service@ganoksin.com and
we will upload them for you…

I have a dog called Radley, a Bichon Frise, and three cats. The dog
is more of a hindrance though, as he’s a yappy little pest - but I
love him anyway. The cats come and go as they please.

Joy, you MUST post pictures of your hedgehogs! I felt a little
(completely irrational) sadness at reaching the end of your post
without coming across a link to a picture of your adorable spiny
little critters. Oh, you tempted me so!

Dear Susan, you are so blessed, they are georgeous. Do I note that
one of them is a youngster? I had horses all my life and had to
leave the farm 4 years ago. Blessings pat

Hi Eleanor

Here’s Gump at my bench.

My hedgies (as we call them) love to explore.

Cats and jewelry making seem to go hand in hand, don’t they? My
current benchmate is this big boy, Jesse (aka Mr. James). I’m
constantly plucking his ultra-fine hair out of the barrier flux
before soldering, altho I suspect the torch would make short work of
it anyway.
