I have a Midas Pen plater and am having issues with it giving me gold transfer! A) sterling silver is cleaned, pickled and wiped down with alcohol. B) a layer of nickle is put on w/ clean felt tip. You can see the metal turn a dull grey. As mentioned in the Rio demo, no visible reaction occurs… C) Metal rinsed and wiped down again w/ alcohol/dried. D) clean tip, dial set @ 5, clip attached to piece. After multiple attempts, the 18K from Cohler is doing nothing - barely a color shift. With the cost of the pen plating gold - please help!
