I think setting a diamond in the hole in a drilled pearl is a lovely
idea. Is the tube setting just friction fit, or do you use a glue or
cement? It seems like friction might not be enough to hold it over
time, but is glue a no no?

I ridge the sides of the bezel with a florentine graver burr and
also add a tiny little bit of glue. Glue on bezel sides and inside
pearl? Good. Glue on stone? Bad.
