Beware mothballs fumes can cause kidney failure in cats and lead to death. They can harm dogs too.
Susan, this is a worthy warning. However, I’m assuming that the
cupboard is closed much of the time, would have a minor amount of
mothballs, and is in an outdoor setting. I doubt that cats and dogs
would be attracted to the odor or get locked inside the cupboard.
