In October the Canadian Craft Federation held a sypmposium at the
National Gallery on contemporary craft

I was lucky enough to moderate the event.
They have just posted the audio (video) of my introduction which
discusses thoughts on recent developments in the craft sector and
current issues in the field. It is accompanied by images of my work,
but it is the text/audio that is of interest. This is the first one
up, and it will be followed soon by videos of the panelist’s
presentations, Michael Fortune, Kye Yeon Son and Paul Mathieu. We
were all winners of the governor general’s award in fine craft, about
