Other ways to use briolettes

I am interested in other ways to use briolette’s. Those
semi-precious stones with holes drilled side ways. I want to do more
with them than the wire wrapping. I have tried making a bail with
holes drilled for the wire to go through and then I balled up the
ends of the wire to make a hinge. Any other ideas out there???

I have a friend who does wire crochet and utilizes briolettes in her
work. In fact, her shop is called “La Brioletta”.
