Sometimes a wonderful thing happens when its needed most. This year’s
winner, Susan Bucknam, lost her husband to cancer the Monday before
Thanksgiving 2004. Since then she has tended to the minutia that
occurs when you lose your life partner. Winning the raffle has
returned her focus to jewelry and gives her the tools she needs to go
forward. Until now, she had a torch, a Bonny Doon wrinkle roller,
some stones and silver, not even a bench. What a wonderful
opportunity, and made possible by Orchid. You go girl! Hurrah for
Orchid!
Congratulations Susan!!! We couldn’t be happier for you and we are
delighted to be able to contribute to the Orchid Raffle along with
so many other fine suppliers. Hanuman, it was a great idea and
please be sure you include us again next year.
(Susan, look for a couple of extra surprises in with your package of
tools from us.

Judy,
Like all others who had bought a raffle ticket, I had hoped to win,
as well as support Orchid. Now that you have told us about Susan’s
situation, I’m happy that she was the winner. I hope that now that
she has all those wonderful tools that she will be inspired to make
beautiful things. She was meant to be the winner.
Congrats Susan on being the recipient of the raffle goodies. It was
great fun to be sitting beside you when your name was announced! I’m
especially jealous of that wonderful “scroll” saw. It’s amazing. You
deserve the prize.

This year's winner, Susan Bucknam
While the “woo-woo stick” I carry is small, I’ve learned to trust it.
This is the first Orchid raffle I’ve passed on since subscribing.
Something told me not to buy the ticket, although I could have used
the tools. I’ve never been happier to have missed out.
Congratulations, Susan…and a great, big hug.
I am so happy that Susan won! I am reminded by this of how much I
already have and to be grateful for what I do have. Good Karma at
work Susan! God Bless…

Folks,
You know, sometimes life deals us duces and some times it deals aces.
Sounds like Susan has a hand of each right now but the ace is a very
good sign she will have a winning hand afterall…
Congratulations Susan and I second Joel’s hopes for your future. I
am sure that if anyone on this list can be of help you need but
ask!.
Cheers from Don at The Charles Belle Studio in SOFL where simple
elegance IS fine jewelry! @coralnut2
