A trip to my local supplier solved my sizing of the size 16 ring
(Thanks for the responses!). I bought a step ring mandrel that goes
to size 16 and also a jumbo ring mandrel that goes from size 16 to
24. The step ring mandrel came with a sticker with the lengths for
each ring size up to size 16. The scale is about 2 mm shorter then
the template I’ve been using for years. Is there a published
standard on ring sizes anywhere? I found some great formulas in the
archives for calculating lengths for different thicknesses of
material but no standard sizes…
