Hi…I thought that I would listen in for a while. I’ve been building
hydraulic die forming equipment for several years now, and am always
interested in what is being done in the field. Possibly I may be able
to answer some questions.

Hello Lee and welcome to the group. For those of you who are unaware of
what Lee Marshal does go see his website.

I have been drooling there since he opened it. Hydraulic presses and
tooling for jewelers and sculptors.

Lee this is a pretty active group like ArtMetal, however I haven’t seen any
Latin spoken here lately.

Silver/goldsmith with small retail store - also
trade in native american arts. We sell quite a
lot of sterling jewelry to younger persons - I
like Bali, thai, & Mexican imports. We also sell
in the spring and summer at indian powwows. I am
looking for new designs in these categories,
and feel like I have “worn out” the wholesale
catalogs from current suppliers.

Well hello, good people. I have just learnt about
the Orchid list from someone mentioning it on
Artmetal. After this note I will probably
go quiet for a little while,to absorb the feel of
this list.
So, I make precious metal jewellery, as a hobby.
I have a day job as well, so I can be a bit
choosey about what I make, but nontheless I try
to make the hobby pay for itself, which it does
handsomely. I’ve been making jewellery for
about nine years now, mostly self taught (by
which I mean books, and mistakes at the bench),
though I did go on a one week course, mainly to
get a feel for silversmithing. Still learning,
and still learning how much there is that I know
nothing about.
OK, time to shut up now. Look forward to being
part of the list.

waxed linen scupltures but have made some necklaces using the same knotting

Glad you are online, I have your book and have almost completed the press
design you have outlined. Where can I buy Urethane at a resonable price?
