Of course, there exists on the Net, a variety of mailing lists that in some way address
the interests of the jewelry and gem industries - but Orchid is plainly unique. Orchid
is for both the professional and the beginer - Orchid is dedicated to the exchange of
substantive technical content covering the full range of the industryAEs information
requirements.

Many of OrchidAEs participants will have various products and services to offer through
Orchid. However, Orchid is resoulutly focused on the exchange of technical
rather than being merely a digital classified ads page.

The Orchid list is based on Brent Chapman’s “Majordomo” mailing list manager, version 1.93.

In the description below items contained in []'s are optional. When
providing the item, do not include the []'s around it.

Commands should be sent in the body of an email message to:

orchid-request@ganoksin.com

Commands in the “Subject:” line are NOT processed.

Orchid understands the following commands:

subscribe orchid []
Subscribe yourself (or if specified) to the orchid list.

unsubscribe orchid []
Unsubscribe yourself (or if specified) from the orchid list.

get orchid
Get a file related to orchid list.

index orchid
Return an index of files you can “get” for orchid list.

which []
Find out which lists you (or if specified) are on.

who orchid
Find out who is on the orchid list

info orchid
Retrieve the general introductory for the orchid list.

end
Stop processing commands (useful if your mailer adds a signature).
