Orchid Dinner and AGTA Dinner Dance

Dave, et al…

I’ve never been able to attend the Orchid dinner because it conflicts
with a number of other Tucson events… for the last couple of years,
the AGTA Awards and Dinner Dance which I have to be at… since I help
to arrange it!

2001 will be the 20th Anniversary of the American Gem Trade
Association and we are planning an awards and dinner dance evening that
is “black tie optional” with great food and entertainment on Saturday,
Feb 3, 2001 at the Marriott University Park at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $75
each before 12/31 and $100 afterwards.

It’s an opportunity to meet and get to know the AGTA Spectrum Award
(design) winners, Manufacturing Honors winners, PGI Platinum Honors
winners, and AGTA Cutting Edge (lapidary arts) winners… and last
(but not least) the past president of AGTA will be honored this
evening.

If you want to reserve a spot, you can email me your credit card
or mail a check to AGTA. I know that for most people it’s a
lot of cash to lay out for a party-- and especially so during Tucson,
but I also think it would be fun to have friends from Orchid
represented there. It is certain to be a big night.

Best regards, as always,

James Marker, GG AGTA Communication Manager

Thanks for the info about the AGTA Gala.

The Orchid date of Feb. 3 was a preliminary date; the Orchid dinner
will probably be held Fri., Feb. 2 (still have to get a few
comittments). Don’t think there’ll be any conflict.
