I am working on an article for Colored Stone magazine about the
impact Chinese freshwater pearls have had on craft jewelers. Although
I’ve spoken to a number of artists who design with Chinese freshwater
pearls, I haven’t run into any who were inspired to start using
pearls by the increasing numbers and varieties available from China.
Is there anyone out there in Orchidland who falls into that category?
Or anyone who has been inspired to dramatically alter their designs
to take advantage of the shapes and colors now available? If so, I’d
