New Hermes inside ring engraver

I have come to own an older New Hermes inside ring engraver. It has a
seriel number on it, RV 5002. This engraver has a large dimaeter (8
inches) disc with the fonts on it.

I have two questions that I hope I may find answers to from someone
here. The first is, is there instructions for its use available
somewhere? Secondly do the smaller discs that I see for sale from
suppliers fit onto this older machine.

On the base both the larger and small disc can fit. I did not try
the tracer unit to see how it works. You can still get the larger
disc and the disc’s rarely go bad. I would get one of the smaller
disc to try before buying.
